Boise Home Buying Tips.
Main / Idaho Real Estate Insights

So you think you are interested in buying a new home but not sure what to do next?

 Here are the big ones

  1. Talk to a mortgage lender and get your financing in place. Learn what you can (and should) afford. Buying a home is a bigger decisions than which one. Should you invest less and put more into savings? Can you afford your dream home today or should you wait? Is there a better decision you had not considered.
  2. If you are thinking of building come to our next seminar- Building Custom Homes.
  3. Talk to several idaho real estate professionals and select someone to represent you. Having a third party who can keep your emotions away from making a such a big decision may be your best move.
  4. Decide if you want a brand new home or used home. What type of buyer are you- Lowest cost solution, best possible solution, best in class solution? What stage of life are you in and how does that afect what type of home you buy and subdivision?
  5. Are Schools important to you? Learn more about local Boise area schools.

Setting out a long term plan to buy will make it much less stressful and could provide better results as you will have more time to learn and give you a better chance to reflect and determine what your needs really are. Do you really need a four car garage?
