Northwest Boise is property off State Street, west of Boise, and Highway 55, running north towards Horseshoe Bend.This area is at the base of the Foothills and there are many acreage and subdivision opportunities within the foothills. Views come at a premium price but the ability to see across Treasure Valley as the sun sets and across the desert to the Owyhees is a worthwhile investment. Property in the foothills is more likely to see Deer, Coyote and many bird species and on rare occassion bears, cougar, wold and elk and have been known to be spotted.

Be aware that if you are considering building in the foothills, construction can be more expensive as code requirements are much more stringent with erosion, fire and the grade on which the home may be built. A home may require an engineer to work the land and an architect to design something more fire resistant.

Life in the Foothills offers much more than what one finds on the valley floor. Hiking and biking are popular but there is also photography, birding and hunting.
