Mountain Home, Idaho is the largest city in Elmore County and best known for Mountain Home Air Force Base with air shows each year that draw thousands of people from the region. It is about 40 minutes from Boise, Idaho and not far from Mountain Home is CJ Strike Resevoir, Bruneau Dunes, and the Snake River. Just 2 hours a way is world famous Sun Valley.
