In Boise, we are fortunate enough to be a growing city in a growing metropolitan area that also has easy access to nature. In many cases, the nature is right off your back patio. There are a number of subdivisions that back up to the Boise Greenbelt as well as waterfront properties that face the Boise River or neighborhood ponds. In spite of its size, Boise is home to a large and growing beer brewing scene. This is due in part to Idaho being one of the largest producers of hops in the country, as well as the city's increasing popularity. Considering the Pacific Northwest is a hotspot for brewing and microbrewing, it makes sense that Boise would join in on the fun. Boise is home to 15 local breweries. It’s a well-known fact that Boise is growing, both in size and popularity. A large part of the city’s growth is due to large national companies that were founded and based in Boise or had moved here because of the economic opportunities. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, more than 10,000 jobs were created in the Treasure Valley in 2018, and the unemployment rate stayed at 3% for 9 months straight. That’s 1.4% less than the national average! Here is a list of the 10 largest companies in Boise that have their headquarters here.

All of these events are family-friendly and everyone is encouraged to come celebrate a distinctive piece of Boise’s culture. The events start on 9/19 and end on 9/21.
