Over the last 13 months there is a definite sign of increasing activity in building permits in Boise. Some people may be surprised but between lower inventory levels of used homes, continued in-migration of people from other states like California and value of new homes comparatively.

Through the years many home builders have come and gone there are more builders than there were 15 years ago. The following graph charts how many different builder have pulled permits by year since 1996. In 2011 can saw fewer builders while Ada County saw an increase for the second year in a row.

On December 13, 2011 NARI of Idaho announced their annual award winners which recognize those in the remodeling industry that have served with excellence. Awards included recognition of suppliers/vendors, trade contractors and remodelers.

This is a sequel to my last blog, E + R = O. This is a sequel to my last blog, E + R = O. For those of you who have read Napoleon Hill’s “Think & Grow Rich”, this will probably sound familiar. For those of you who haven’t, I highly recommend that you add it to your reading list. “Think &Grow Rich” has been described as one of the most influential books of all time in pointing the way to personal achievement. I believe the principles in this book are especially applicable now when we are in the worst recession since the Great Depression.
