Who builds the most homes in Boise, Idaho? Our 2018 report takes a look at building permits. This is different than home sales as not every home is listed through the Multiple Listing Service. Many custom home builds go unreported. Also, Custom Home builders are often approached by someone with a request to build on land they already own, so there is no technical "home sale".

One question that is constantly asked by home buyers is "How much does it cost to build a new home" The prices below should help answer this question as they cost to build a home is relatively the same as move-in-ready. homes. In this report we included price per square foot as well. While this is good information it is far from being able to tell a complete answer. It should be used as a relative # because it is no interpreation of lot premiums or upgrades a house may have. As you will see the breakdown includes not only the average sales price but the range in which prices were sold so you can understand more clearly what the home values in a community actually are as apposed to the average home value.
