Latest construction trends across Boise Valley.

The reality is that the market is off even way off. This is part of the cycle of any industry or business but from 30 thousand feet  there are some different perspectives.

Weekly total permits have been steadily declining for the past 3 months.

Each column in the chart below represents total permits for a 12 month period- June to May,  for the past 8 years

The reality is that we continue to produce at 2000 to 2002 levels but taking a little closer look we can see that 2007 has been a bad 'drought' season. See chart below.

Ada County is in line with pre-2000 to 2002 #'s. Although Canyon County is off pace from previous years it has only been in the last three months that permit activity dropped off dramtically. See first graph.

Here is another interesting manipulation of infomration. Average permit permit per builder by county for the past 8 years-
