Capitol Building Company is under way with this year's Dream Home! Main St. Jude's Dream Home in Boise
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Capitol Building Company proudly announce the start of construction on their 2008 Boise Dream Home Project. Tickets go on sale March 1.

St. Jude and Capitol Building Company, LLC have assembled the "A Team” for this year’s event. We are delighted to have both D. L. Evans Bank and Zamzows as our local ticket distributors and KTVB Channel 7 and WOW Country 104.3 serving as our media partners. This is the fourth year of the campaign and the Boise contribution to the efforts back at the hospital in Memphis has been incredibly successful. This year our ticket goal is 7,777 which the good folks over at Channel 7 say is the right number!

Our Grand Prize this year is located in the Yellowstone Estates Community just off Floating Feather in Star. This incredible home features 2,694 square feet, four bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a bonus room, a den, a huge three car garage and gorgeous mountain views. And best of all one super lucky person will walk away with the keys to this home for $100.

Back in 1962 when entertainer Danny Thomas started St. Jude, a child stricken with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (one of the most common forms of childhood cancer) had a 4% survival rate. That same child today with the same diagnosis has over an 85% chance at life, due in part to the dedicated doctors and research scientist at St. Jude. Capitol’s ownership and management team traveled back to Memphis, Tenn. to see firsthand why the Dream Home Project is so important to the hospital’s efforts on a global basis. As the Dream Home Chairman, I was one of those that toured the hospital, met patients, and interviewed doctors and research teams. I walked away from that experience truly understanding Danny Thomas’ vow that “No child should die in the dawn of life”.

Tickets go on sale March 4 and they can also be purchased over the phone at (800) 537-8939. Three Treasure Valley residents have already won a brand new home from St. Jude and Capitol Building Company, maybe you are next!

Re:Capitol Building Company is under way with this year's Dream Home!
I applaud Capital Building Company, Larry Ralston, John McBride, Tyler Gilman, the staff and all their trade contractor and supplier partners for their commitment to the St. Jude Dream Home program. Having been involved in the very first St. Jude Dream Home project in Boise, I am very familiar with St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital and the great things that they do. If you would like to learn more, I would encourage you to visit their website at www.stjude.org.

The $777,700 that the ticket sales for this home will raise will help to help to fund about 11 hours of the hospitals operating costs which last year was approximately $1,658,000 a day.

In 2006, the Dream Home program raised more than $22 million dollars nationwide. There is a reason why the folks at St.Jude turned to the nation's homebuilders. Each year, the home building industry contributes millions of dollars in cash, building materials, supplies, and countless volunteer hours to community charities through local community service projects.

This is just one of many examples of how the members of the home building industry in the Treasure Valley contribute to the community.

Contrary to what some people seem to believe, we are not all evil rapers and pillagers of the land.
