What if a home was purchased simply based on functionality, not emotions and aesthitic values? What type of home would you buy?

Have you ever considered how much of the home buying decision process is based on emotions? Recently, I was part of a discussion regarding this and the conclusion surprised us all.

What if: Your home purchase was not based on the status value of the home or area and in this discussion we are not buying a home as an investment. What if you had to purchase the home based on your needs and functionality.

We concluded that we would not buy more houses than you needed and we would not buy more than we could afford. We all purchased manufactured homes.

This proves that attention to the details and the unique custom elements of the home add huge value. People take great pride in their homes and are definitely a part of who we are. It is obvious, as well, that we are all different. There are many factors not listed such as location to work, schools, shopping, safety and more but this discussion was based on buying a home as a business decision. Would you buy the home you have now as a business decision?
