Take a tour of Idaho's first Platinum Level LEED Home Main Idaho Real Estate Insights
I had several requests for pictures so I put together a video with help from Dan Hayes of Healthy Homes.

 From Dan Hayes-

As the owner of a Commercial Construction Company, (HC Company, Inc.) that is pushing sustainable construction practices, and as a LEED Accredited Professional myself, I am very interested in constructing healthy and sustainable buildings.  Since our building stock accounts for approximately 60% of our green house gas emissions, it is imperative that we start building and remodeling in a more sustainable way.  HC Company has increased its recycling program to match LEED guidelines on all future projects which allows us to divert up to 75% of waste from our landfills.  While developers, building owners, tenants and building codes are ultimately responsible for new building efficiency, we try to give our clients options for more efficient or sustainable products, equipment, and construction procedures.

When my wife Doniel and I decided to build our own home, we knew we wanted it to have a low carbon footprint, and we wanted to prove that a sustainable home could also be a beautiful and comfortable place to live.  With the help of many excellent companies in our area providing “Green” products and systems, we ended up with more than we ever imagined.  We love our home and having practically no utility bills is definitely a plus.
