2009 -- The Year Of The Credit Score

Main Boise Home Loans

I am dedicating my blog to credit scoring in 2009. The mortgage meltdown has dramatically increased the minimum credit requirements needed for a conforming conventional mortgage. Understanding how to achieve AND keep the best credit scores now is paramount.

Unless you live on a remote island and are completely disconnected from the rest of the world, you undoubtedly have heard about the mess our economy and the broader worldwide economy are in. Without getting into a discussion about what caused it (been there, done that...many times!), I am now focusing on teaching you how to SURVIVE in it, with credit scores being the focus.

Too many people ignore their credit because they perceive it to be either impossible to understand, or too frustrating to work on. They put off credit repair and never get to the efforts needed to improve their scores...until the time when they really need good credit scores. This is usually when they are considering buying a new home or refinancing an existing mortgage.

In this day and time, low credit scores will devastate your ability to function in our "new economy." Low credit scores will make it difficult, if not impossible, to rent an apartment or home, get a new cell phone contract, get a job, or even renew your auto/renters/homeowners insurance. Creditors are not going to be sympathetic to your situation. The only one who will have your back...IS YOU!

Follow this blog through 2009, and pass the web address for this blog on to everyone you know and care about. I am going to provide you with the knowledge YOU NEED to survive and thrive in this new world.
