Is your Boise Realtor Credible? Main Idaho Real Estate Insights
If you talk to Boise Realtors everyone of them will tell you they are an expert on the idaho real estate market.

Before you hire a Boise Realtor, do your homework. There is basically no barriers to entry so anyone can realistically join the club of Idaho Real Estate Agents. It is your job to know the difference of someone who is credible and someone who is an opportunist. The one thing to remember is that you are basically hiring an employee and advisor. Their job is to work for you but just as important as it is for them to do what you ask, it is also their job to provide council and advise you about your Idaho Real Estate purchase or sale.

Here is the good news/ bad news. A great realtor charges just as much as an inexperienced real estate agent. Whether you need a listing agent or a buyer's rep they basically get paid the same. So how much more does a realtor cost. Poor and inexperienced realtor could cost you thousands. Maybe the agent is not as aggressive in negotiating the best price or maybe they don't have the experience to see the red flags an experienced Realtor would notice in helping you purchase a home for sale in Boise Idaho.

More good news/ bad news- It is your job to know the difference. If you need a referral, BuildIdaho.com can help or you may want to search the internet for Boise Realtor reviews. There are some great Boise Realtors in town and there are many who think they are great. Good luck.

Re:Is your Boise Realtor Credible?
Good post!

There are definitely a lot of Realtors in the area, some experienced, some not. Some are honest and have integrity...some don't. But, tell us something that we don't know!

How do you suggest that a buyer "does their homework". I know that 3rd party endorsements like your site is a way to help take the guesswork out of it, but what qualifications does a good agent have? A RealtyTrac account? Activerain? Trulia?

I've seen sites where an agent is considered the best based on a point system metric that tallied all of their listings. Whichever agent had the most was somehow the best! Wow.

There are many factors that make up a good agent; integrity, honesty, experience, education etc. But choosing a good agent is also a personal choice - you have to like who you work with. You have to like how they handle adversity and challenges.

Actually Trey, this really is a good topic and now I think I'm going to have to write up an article myself!!!
