This workshop will introduce a revolutionary technology that turns ordinary dirt into Environmentally Friendly blocks that surpass cement block code strength requirements all with 75% less cement content than cement blocks. No fired curing is required and these blocks offer a low cost option for acoustically appealing and thermally comfortable living environments. Come learn how to make blocks with a minimal impact to the environment utilizing a renewable resource which uses the lowest amount of embodied energy to produce over other building materials.

Plug-in electric vehicles have been in the news and available in other parts of the country for awhile, but they have only recently begun to show up at Treasure Valley car dealerships. Experts from Idaho Power and the Energy Policy Institute at BSU will be on hand to answer these questions as well as some of yours. A "tour" of the electric vehicles at the Green Expo is included.

This introductory workshop will cover the basics of beekeeping, including equipment, parts of the hive, feeding and treating bees, and seasonal management.
