A recent study by Avid Builder reveals home buyer trends for 2012

The following is a list of things that people who purchased a new home considered when they bought their home. The list is considered by those buyers as a 'must have' as opposed to a 'want to have'.

1. Walk-In Closet
2. Energy Efficient Appliances
3. Linen Closets
4. Large Kitchens
5. Energy Efficient Home
6. Kitchen Island
7. Hi-Efficiency Windows
8. Ceiling Fans
9. Home Office/ Study
10. Walk-In Pantry

One of the overall messages was storage space. What are your 'must haves'? Granite not many years ago was considered an amenity but now is, for the most part, a 'must-have.' The survey considered many points and also determined other trends for example most would prefer an oversized shower as to a  whirlpool tub.
