One thing people dream of in Idaho is owning a log home in the woods, if not for primary residence, at leaset as a second home.

Most people live in a city or large town but travel to some place like Stanley, Sun Valley or McCall on weekends to enjoy the mountains whether is for snow or other recreation. Many appreciate the atmosphere of mountain from cool weather in the summer to viewing wildlife, whitewater rafting, mountain biking or canoeing on a backcountry lake. Place like Priest Lake, ID remind us of what life should be about and the hectic pace we live in the city.

While Boise is considered a major city, there are several places nearby where having a cabin makes sense. For example, between Melba and Marsing lies the Snake River and many waterfront properties. As one heads North on Highway 55 to Horseshoe Bend there is also a road that runs to Emmett, ID. And, also within a short drive from Boise is Idaho City. These areas offer a slower place of life, beautiful back drops and outdoor activities just outside the front door.
