I was reading a blog post  that noted the most important factor in selecting an agent was how much you liked them and the relationship with them. We just want to note it is the last, most important thing.

The most important thing is to hire the best. The best are the best for a reason and there are many real estate agents who are the best in their niche, of which there are many niches.

Some agents specialize in new construction, others are focused on specific areas like The North End or Eagle. Others specialize in Short Sale, forclosures or even mobile homes. Many industry professionals want you to decide whom to work with based on who you like the most. That is easily said when you are not the best at what you do.

I know that this will make sense but realize this, the best not only make the most money, they charge the highest prices. Their dedication to being the best requires discipline and being pro-active. Average people who don't have an entrepreneurial spirit maintain the status quo and are happy to be there.

People seeking to be the best within their niche or sphere are driven to go the extra mile and are very focused. At some point, they realize that no one can do what they do or at least not as well and they raise their prices.

If they provide an amazing value proposition to clients, clients (meaning you) will pay. For example, if an agent is a great negotiator and has a track record of getting above or below market value prices, depending on if you are the buyer or seller, you would want to work with them.

Successful people do not make hasty decisions and take every transaction seriously. They want to grow their reputation. They also want to impress the client, because let's face it, clients talk.

If you are looking for a Boise Idaho Real Estate Agent realize each has a value proposition but there are many competing for your business. Some are willing to negotiate because they are trying to grow their business. You have to decide who is the best for you.

The first step is to hire someone based on their qualifications, you are hiring an employee remember. After you have narrowed the field to qualified applicants, then you can choose whom you like the best.
