Many people want a pool in their back yard but most agree they do not want the hastle of cleaning, balancing chemicals and other maintenance issues. It is also expensive over time.
 

The most common thread I have seen is that by year four, it is not used near as much by adults. Kids still love it though! One struggle with a pool in southern Idaho is that my experience is it is only viable to use from mid June to mid August. outside those dates the water gets too cold, unless you heat it.
