What is The Village at Meridian?

Main Treasure Valley Life

The Village at Meridian opened in 2013 and quickly became a hub for shopping and dining in the Boise Metro area. The Village’s central location at Eagle Road and Fairview Avenue, the state's busiest interection, helped give rise to its prominence. The extremely walkable outdoor mall and european-inspired architecture rising above Eagle Road add to the accessibility and charm.  The location is a big part of its success. The other major reason is its attractions and amenities for the whole family.

The entire complex features more than 100 commercial tenants and Julius M. Kleiner Park. In addition to shopping and eating, The Village itself includes a playground, a skating rink in the winter, and a fountain with light displays set to music (think the Bellagio in Las Vegas, but on a smaller scale).

Many people come to The Village just to get a nice meal at one of 15 eateries around the complex. Some favorites include Blaze Pizza, Yard House, Grimaldi’s, and Calle 75 Street Tacos. If you have a sweet tooth that needs satisfying, Try It’Sugar, Cinnaholic or Chip Cookies.

The Village also offers apparel shopping at 29 high-end retailers such as Athleta, Lululemon, Carhartt, Nike, Victoria’s Secret/Pink, Urban Outfitters, and White House|Black Market. Other retailers include Gordmans, Marshalls, GAP, and Vans. Shoppers can also get home goods at one of 8 retailers such as Sur la Table, Pier 1, and Soft Surroundings.

The Village also offers 17 retailers specializing in personal care and specialty services. Axiom Fitness, Cyclebar, The Joint Chiropractic, and the Good Feet Store promote personal fitness and well-being. LUSH, MAC Cosmetics, ULTA, and Panache Aveda Hair Salon provide makeup and hair styling options.

The other two large draws to the Village are Big Al’s and The Village Cinema. Big Al’s is a great place to get a drink, eat some pub food and watch the big game or title fight on any number of large TVs. There is also a bowling alley and arcade games for family outings or parties. The Village Cinema is a 15-screen movie theater with recently upgraded sound and video systems. The cinema also features luxury touches such as reclining seats, a 21-and-over VIP balcony where you can eat and dine at the same time, and the Backstage Bistro, where you can eat and drink before or after your movie.

Most of the second and third floors of the buildings at The Village are dedicated to office and commercial space. 15 companies as well as the property management company/owners, CenterCal Property Management, have offices throughout the complex.

Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park is a 58-acre community park with plenty of ways for families to have fun. The bandshell/amphitheater is the home of Rock the Village concert series, which takes place in June and July every summer and features local and regional musical acts. The park also has a playground with splash pad, bocce ball courts, half-court basketball, sand volleyball courts, 2 fishing ponds, and wide open fields.

The owner of The Village, CenterCal Property Management, is planning to expand The Village with more office and retail space with the possibility of adding a hotel as well. This added growth will add more jobs to the more the 20,700 already created by the existing complex. In addition, more retail space will bring in more customers and visitors to the area. Construction has already begun on a 200-residence senior living complex. The entire residence will sit on 5 acres and overlook Kleiner Park.
