Where Are All of the Breweries in Boise? Main Treasure Valley Life

In spite of its size, Boise is home to a large and growing beer brewing scene. This is due in part to Idaho being one of the largest producers of hops in the country, as well as the city's increasing popularity. Considering the Pacific Northwest is a hotspot for brewing and microbrewing, it makes sense that Boise would join in on the fun. Boise is home to 15 local breweries. 10 Barrel Brewing Company - 830 W Bannock

The Bend, Oregon-based brewery came to Boise a few years ago and instantly became a local favorite. Brewing a variety of beers locally from local ingredients in addition to a great pub food menu has made 10 Barrel Brewing a Boise hotspot. Come watch sports, enjoy happy hours, and try new beers at the hoppiest place in Boise!

Barbarian Brewing - Boise Taproom: 1022 W Main Street | Garden City Brewery: 5270 Chinden Blvd

Barbarian Brewing specializes in crafting sour and barrel-aged beers at two locations in the Treasure Valley: Boise and Garden City. They specialize in old world-style brewing techniques and recipes. Barbarian also has beer memberships available. Members get access to special seasonal releases of different beers throughout the year.

Boise Brewing - 521 W Broad St

Boise’s hometown brewery opened in 2014 and has been a fearless event sponsor, community organizer, and fun place to hang out ever since. They have released a range of beers based on Idaho symbols and activities, such as the Syringa Pale Ale, Snowboarder Porter, and Broad Street Blonde.

Sockeye Brewing - 12542 W Fairview Ave

Everything about Sockeye Brewing is Idaho. It is named after the state fish; each of its beer names comes from Idaho history and heritage. Thier dedication to crafting, taste, and variety has helped Sockeye become Idah's most decorated brewery with over 250 medals and awards. Stop in and drink like a fish!

Payette Brewing - 733 S Pioneer St

Payette Brewing embraces Idaho's culture and having fun. Beer names are tied into wild west culture and Boise heritage. Payette is also the sponsor of the North Fork Kayaking Championship. As they have grown, Payette has created a group of small batch beers as well as seasonal favorites.

Edge Brewing Company - 525 Steelhead Way

Edge brewing company was started by a group of firnds and family in 2014. They feature 8 staple beers and ciders, rotating taps, seaonal releases, and special B-side Bombers—which are fun experiemental brewing concoctions. Their craft brewing takes a backseat to their food, which is made by trained chefs. In fact, their Over the Ede Burger was featured on Man vs Food.

White Dog Brewing Company - 705 W Fulton St

Every White Dog label was inspired by a real dog and owner pair. Their story is reflected in the artwork on the beer labels (made by a local artist) and their story is preserved online. In addition, the bar features a frost rail that you set your beer on to keep it cold the whole time you are enjoying it.

Lost Grove Brewing - 1026 La Pointe St

Lost grove is dedicated to delicious beer that is made in a sustainable way and is as environmentally resposible as possible. Every beer is dedicated to the outdoors, the people you share the journey with, and having a good time. This is the only time you want to get lost.

Woodland Empire Ale Craft - 1114 W Front St

Woodland Empire is a small brewery based in Boise that is focused on small batch, hoppy beers. Their small batches allow them to create a wide variety of fun and innovative flavors. Woodland Empire also hosts KegFit, where participants use empty kegs for a new kind of working out.

Meriwether Cider Company - Boise Taproom: 224 N 9th Street | Garden City Cider House: 5242 W Chinden Blvd

Meriwether Cider Co. was born in Garden City and produces 10 kinds of cider as well as special cider cocktails. Named after famous explorer Meriwether Lewis, Meriwether Cider looks to push the boundaries and explore. Sample the fruits of their labor (pun intended) at their taproom in downtown Boise and their cider house in Garden City.

Clairvoyant Brewing Company - 2800 W Idaho Street

Clairvoyant opened its doors in 2017 and came out swinging. Founded by two Idaho natives, Clairvoyant opened with a full slate of beers and food and have been hosting community events, scavenger hunts, and live music. Be sure to check their monthly food truck calendar!

Cloud 9 Brewery - 1750 W State Street

Cloud 9 was founded in 2012 and is the only certified organic brewery in Idaho. Thanks to small batch brews, there are 6 rotating taps year-round in addition to 6 staple taps. The bar food is reflective of the organic, hand-built attention to detail culture that Cloud 9 created

Highlands Hollow Brewhouse - 2455 Harrison Hollow Ln

Highlands Hollow is the oldest microbrewery in Idaho. Serving up handcrafted small batch beers and community support since 1992, Highlands hollow is a fun place to hang out. Weekly live music, 4 staple beers, and over a dozen rotating taps ensures that there is something for everyone.

Bear Island Brewing - 1620 N Liberty Street

Bear Island was started by veterans who are dedicated to serving their community and their country. They source their ingredients from within Idaho and host numerous events to benefit local businesses. Check out the craft cave on their website to view the large array of mainstay beers and rotaing taps.

Mad Swede Brewing Company - 2272 S Cole Rd

Mad Swede was started over 30 years ago by a husband and wife duo who were dedicated to the science of brewing beer. This love for experimentation and boundary-pushing has led to fun, innovative, and sustainable brewing practices. Check out the fun games, music, and great food. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash and on their best behavior.
