The Swtichback is South Boise's Exciting New Food Truck Court

Main Treasure Valley Life

Harris Ranch is considered to be one of the best places to live in east Boise, and Boise in total. Even in this master-planned community, there are not many places to eat besides Lucky 13 and The STIL ice cream parlor. The Switchback is a food truck park that is changing that.

The Switchback was started by Courtney Santillan, who saw the need for more food options inside Harris Ranch. Following in the footsteps (or tire tracks) of Rayback Collective in Boulder, Colorado; The Yard Food Park in Salem, Oregon; and the Mercado in Portland, Oregon, Santillan set out to make a community-minded space with food, games, entertainment, and plenty of mobile food offerings. In the space The Switchback occupies, you will find covered tables, artificial turf rugs with lawn games, space for musical performers, and plenty of space to mingle and try new food and drinks. Here is a link to The Switchback’s food truck calendar (it’s halfway down the page).

The Switchback has generously offered a $20 drink tab at the drink trailer as a raffle prize at Build Idaho’s upcoming client appreciation event at The Farmstead corn maze and pumpkin patch. The event takes place on September 24th, 2020 from 5-9 pm. Build Idaho will have a tent just inside the entrance where we will serve food and drinks (following COVID-19 guidelines). Stop by, talk to our agents, and enter the raffle to win the drink tab or one of our other awesome prizes from our local Boise vendors. Here is a list of the vendors. Build Idaho clients and friends get into The Farmstead on the 24th for free with the September mailer card or Eventbrite RSVP. If you want to get an RSVP for free admission, call a Build Idaho agent and they will send one to you. We can’t wait to see you there!
