Idaho Shakespeare Festival is Back for its 2021 Season

Main Treasure Valley Life

After a COVD-19-induced hiatus in 2020, the Idaho Shakespeare Festival is back for the 2021 season with a full schedule. Here is this year’s schedule.

William Shakespeare wrote in Henry IV, “Out of this nettle danger, we pluck this flower safely.” After the shutdowns last year, it seems more important than ever to get out and have a good time at local public events. The Idaho Shakespeare Festival is one of the best local events in the area. Plus, it’s BYOB and BYO Food! Here is what’s on the docket for this summer.

July 8-August 1

Sleuth by Anthony Shaffer

This Tony-winning thriller promises plenty of suspense as the lines between imagination and reality are blurred during a whodunnit game.

August 12-September 5

The Tempest by William Shakespeare

After spending 12 years on an island, a man, his daughter, a spirit, and a monster are confronted with new challenges after new people are shipwrecked on the island. Magic, mischief, love, and more abound in this classic play.

September 10-26

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) By Adam Long, Daniel Singer, and Jess Winfield

Three actors in Converse sneakers, tons of props, and two hours. These actors cram the works of The Bard into one irreverent romp that is loved by both lovers and haters of Shakespeare.
