Art in the Park 2021 Starts in One Week!

Main Treasure Valley Life

Get ready for the best outdoor arts & crafts show in the northwest, Art in the Park. Every year during the weekend after Labor Day, Julia Davis Park is filled with artists and craftsmen from around the northwest. Art in the Park is hosted by the Boise Art Museum and takes place in its backyard, in the Rose Garden, and the Julia Davis Memorial.

Here is everything you need to know about the 2021 Art in the Park.

General Info

Art in the Park 2021 takes place Friday, 9/10 to Sunday, 9/12. Friday and Saturday, the hours are 10 am to 8 pm. Sunday hours are 10 am to 5 pm. Admission is free. This year, there will be 250 arts & crafts vendors, including 35 new artists and over 100 artists from Idaho.

Food and Drink

This year, there will be 31 food and drink vendors. Food offerings will include food trucks serving gyros, BBQ, tacos, mac & cheese, and more. Fair food like elephant ears, funnel cakes, corn dogs, churros, and cotton candy will also be available. Sweet treats such as baked goods, kettle corn, frozen yogurt, and the famous Ice Cream Potato will also be available to take care of your sugar fix. Bottled Dasani water will be sold for $1 at the three Boise Art Museum (BAM) information booths around the park. For patrons 21 and over, there is the Sculpture Garden Pub, where you can get local and national beer and wine served on a beautiful tree-lined patio. Service begins at 11 am.

Parking at Ann Morrison Park is incredibly limited. It is recommended to ride your bike, walk, or take a shuttle to and from the park. Please do not park at a business like WinCo, Whole Foods, or the Idaho Discovery Center. The parking spots are for customers and your car may get towed. There will be three bike paddocks around the park: one on the southwest side by the Gene Harris Bandshell, one on the southeast side next to the greenbelt, and one on the north side by the Idaho Black History Museum.

Shuttles run at half-hour intervals on a loop from various locations around town. Shuttle rides are free. The stopping points are:

  • BoDo Express
  • Brady Garage on the Boise State Campus (Friday and Saturday only)
  • Downtown Parking Garages
  • Boise Towne Square near Dillard’s and Applebees

The shuttles run from 9:30 am to 8 pm Friday and Saturday, and 9:30 am to 5 pm on Sunday.

Local bands play live music throughout Art in the Park at the Gene Harris Bandshell. Four local bands will be playing 1-hour sets from noon to 6 on Saturday. Two bands will be playing on Sunday at 11 am and 1 pm. 94.9FM “The River” will be the musical partner in addition to live performances.

There will also be a children’s art tent for kids to create art to take home. There are three projects for kids to work on based on current Boise Art Museum exhibitions. It costs $2 per child to participate.
