About Garden City, ID

Garden City, Idaho welcomes all to its city. Located just beside Boise, many don't even consider it a separate city. It is comprised of about 3 miles of Chinden Boulevard, the Boise River just below the Boise Bench. Even though this is a relatively small area, it is very diverse. The main thoroughfare is Chinden Blvd. Here you will find everything for sale from boats, RV's, and cars, to endless services like mom and pop stores, furniture and upholstery, and plenty of places to eat. Garden City is also home to many up-and-coming breweries and wineries, as well as the Visual Arts Collective. Garden City has it all.

Garden City offers its residents great parks and obviously with the water and paths plenty of outdoor opportunities. ON nearly any given day, you will find Glenwood buzzing with people fishing in the river, attending an event at the Western Idaho Fairgrounds, attending a concert at the Revolution Concert House, or watching Boise Hawks Minor League Baseball at Memorial Stadium.

The newest feature of Garden City is Whitewater Park. Created specifically to give kayakers a place to improve their skills and have hours of fun. It is also a great place on the Boise Greenbelt, for spectators to learn more about this extreme sport. Kayakers are there almost any time during the day in the spring through fall.
