Kuna Idaho Real Estate

Kuna, Idaho is located in southern Ada County. The city of Kuna is filled with farmland and close to the Birds of Prey National refuge which is desert to play in whether it is a drive to Swan Falls, ATV riding or shooting. Between downtown Kuna and Meridian are plenty of newer subdivisions. In the boom, developers brought many building lots to the area including new homes for first time home buyers and luxury communities for Move-Up buyers. You won't see a large number of custom homes but when you do, many times they are on a ranch or ranchette.

Many homes with acreage have horses and other barnyard animals including cows. Kuna is steeped in agriculture so 4H is strong in this area. There are also people that give lessons so if you are moving to Kuna and looking to get into this hobby or lifestyle, you will have many friends and resources. Kuna is also a family oriented town as could have probably guessed.

Kuna Idaho Real Estate was affected by the real estate bubble but because there is a number of first time home buyer communities, it was not as drastic as other areas. As you can see in the chart below, home values hit bottom between 2009 and 2010. With gas prices leveling off many people are looking to find more open space and quiet country settings.

Kuna has been slow in building new homes. This is in part due to the competiveness of builders across Ada County. Builder lowered the sale price and increased the amenities in homes thereby removing any saving and incentive to move to the country, especially with what gas prices have been.

Meridian Idaho

The business climate here is strong but with Eagle and Meridian Road not far away, the big corporate box stores have not moved in yet. It won't be long before the population increases to the point that they start scouting for places to lease or build. There are numerous bsinesses from coffeee shops to restaurants and many services.
