Star Idaho is the city you come to heading west but before leaving Ada County. This community is located just beside the Boise River and is still relatively a small town. Star was definitely hit by the real estate bubble but being further from the Boise Metro, it was not as drastic and in the past 2 years, the city has started seeing more development and new construction.

Star appeals to people looking for a place that resonates more of a peaceful lifestyle. This town is a one stop light and two gas station place. Here you will find ranchers and residents living in harmoney and you will find people riding their horses on the more country roads off Hwy 44. Star has an annual celebration called Mule Days but it is the Boise River that brings people to Star regularly. Floating in the summer or playing near the Star Bridge is very popular. One of the most notable recent changes in Star is the new Emmett Hwy 16 interchange. This road, east of Star, runs north up to Chinden, crossing the Boise River along the way. This new access point will help ease traffic along State and Chinden Blvd which will help traffic along Eagle Rd as well. It is expected that Star, Idaho will continue to be popular for those who want to live away from the city but prefer an easy commute. It is also popular for those who don't need to commute to work, want the country atmosphere but live in a community where they can live a certain lifestyle. And for those who telecommute, Star is a great location.
