The Eagleson Park Subdivision was originally platted with numbered streets running east and west and named streets north and south. The numbered streets corresponded to streets platted in the adjoining South Boise subdivisions. When the village of South Boise was annexed to the city of Boise in 1913, the numbered streets within the village boundaries were changed to avoid conflict with other streets in the city. The early numbering system in the Vista Neighborhood would remain until the 1940s when the area was annexed to the city, also to avoid confusion. It was not unusual for developers to use family names for streets and the Eaglesons followed that tradition. Neighborhood streets Hervey, Gourley, and Kerr are Eagleson family names. 

Eagleson Park's well-maintained, established homes give the owners a sense of pride to live there. The close proximity to Vista Ave, Interstate-84, and other thoroughfare roads make it easy to get around town.

 

 

The Eagleson Park Addition is a community within the Boise Bench area. This neighborhood is known for its older homes, as it was originally developed in the 1930's. There are also several in-fill projects with new homes for sale in the area. It is just off Vista Ave, which makes it easy to get to Interstate-84, Downtown Boise, Boise Airport, and Boise State University. Nearby attractions include Boise Towne Square Mall, golf courses, multiple city parks, and plenty of outdoor recreation opportunities. Being on the Boise Bench allows for great views of the Spirit of Boise Balloon Festival in the spring.
