Treasure Valley Real Estate opportunities are just about endless within this vast region in and surrounding Boise. While you could live in a downtown area including Nampa, Meridian or Eagle, you may want to consider a nearby town like Middleton, Wilder or Parma.

Still too crowded? Travel further south of Boise into the desert. Head east to Mountain Home or west to Payette and there are places you will barely be able to see another house, much less an actual neighborhood. There are also places in the open frontier or along the Snake River, whatever your preference.

Home Values

Treasure Valley Home values vary just as dramatically as the landscape. View real estate comes with a premium as well as waterfront property. There are always luxury homes for sale, property with acreage and farming or ranchettes available. This area also has several homes that have established wineries on property.

Once you define your lifestyle, your search can explode with opportunities. Most people that move to Treasure Valley, stay for the lifestyle, affordability, safe communities and the chance to live a peaceful life.

Why is the area called 'Treasure Valley?'

Historically, the valley had been known as the Lower Snake River Valley or the Boise River Valley. Pete Olesen, president of the valley's association of local Chambers of Commerce, coined the name "Treasure Valley" in 1959 to reflect the treasure chest of resources and opportunities that the region offered.
